Join us in this program to explore your strategic side and develop your skills in some of the most popular games of all time. Together, we’ll learn how to play some of the classic games of strategy like Chess, Risk, Monopoly, Checkers, Card Games and more. Students will learn strategies and tactics while gaining the confidence to play against any opponent, and will come away with a new appreciation and respect for some of the most wonderful games ever invented.

Note to Parents: While this program is suitable to those with little to no experience, older children with some experience will also be challenged with more advanced strategy and gamesmanship. Board games are rich in learning opportunities and great for developing social skills.

For over 20 years, Ms. Grabke has taught numerous violin students at Havergal College, the Royal Conservatory of Music and the Grabke violin studio. She is passionate about nurturing young talents and instilling the love of music in her students. Ms. Grabke is a member of The National Ballet of Canada Orchestra and a teacher for the Hammer Ban. She has worked with many great artists, recorded CDs and with CBC. 
In Owen Strings, your child will learn the basics of violin playing. Continual enrollment in the program will strengthen their playing. There is a $30.00 violin rental fee for each term. The violin can be kept between terms with a written note of promise to continue next term.

This program puts student’s imaginations to the test. Working Together, students will create a story out of LEGO and learn how to use HD cameras, and stop motion technology, to bring their LEGO creations to life. Then the students will move on to the editing process, where they get to add titles, sub-titles, credits, music and their own voice recordings, to bring out the WOW factor. After their LEGO movie is complete, they will also create a high quality movie trailer of their LEGO movie. At the end of the program each student will receive both projects to take home on a brand new USB key!

Students will venture to the far reaches of the globe, re-creating art forms common to different societies. Perhaps we will explore the indigenous Mayan art works of South America, or the unique modern artists of metropolises such as New York City or Seoul; either way we will venture around the world and back - through art!

“A picture is worth a thousand words”. Students will be given the opportunity to explore the world of photography as they create their own photo slideshow movies.  Using top of the line digital cameras, going on scavenger hunts, and playing photography themed games is all in the fun of this photographic workshop. Students will also learn how to edit, enhance, and crop their photos using top of the line photo editing software.  All photos will be used to create a variety of themed Slide Show movie creations throughout the program.  Students will learn how to to add titles,music and voice recordings to truly make their slide show movies their own.  At the end of the program, each student will take home all their photo slide show movies and photo stills on a Brand New USB KEY!

What do green eggs and ham really taste like? They're yummy! Let’s  whip up a batch together in this fun and fantastical program inspired by the whimsy of Dr. Seuss. Together, we’ll cook scrumptious, wacky recipes like Pink Ink Yink Drink, Who Hash and Cat In The Hat Pizza …  we’ll be hamming it up in the kitchen in no time!  Each week, we’ll cook a recipe - accompanied by the original book, poem or  verse that inspired it  - so roll up your sleeves and get ready to tuck into some delicious  Sneetch Salad, Schlopp  and Solla Sollew Stew!

This is the perfect program for children to relax and create arts and crafts.

Your little artist will create arts and crafts such as Mixed Media, collage & scultpture, cardvoard challange, blend art with science, simple wood crafts and more. Students will also work on a variety of materials and mediums such as colouring techniques, painting with acrylics, water colouring and oil pastels.

Join the Explore It! team for the Musical Theatre Programme and become a theatrical success! From scripts and music to costumes, hair, makeup and sets, our goal is to give young performers a truly professional theatrical experience. Sessions are 90 minutes in length and this program runs for an extended, 11 week term - culminating in a performance for family and friends after the last session on December 12. Participants will rehearse with our talented crew and finish with a polished performance in front of an audience. Everything is included in this package including a basic photo package as well as costuming, tickets and much, much more!

For the Fall 2018 term, we will be performing Disney on Broadway -- with a focus on unique and inspiring songs from Disney shows on Broadway from the past, present and even future shows currently in production. Musical Theatre has it all -- from chorus lines to jazz hands, dance breaks and dazzling costumes – truly – what could be more amazing than a musical?!

This program challenges students to construct and re-design a variety of the most famous and iconic buildings, bridges and structures, all created out of LEGO. Students will go on a new LEGO Adventure each week, learning about a new recognizable landmark around the world.  Then, the students will have 10 minutes to plan out their creations, and another 45 minutes to put their structures together.  At the end of each class, the students will use HD digital cameras to take different angled photos of their Lego Adventure Creations.  At the End of the Program, Each Student will receive a brand new USB key to take home with a slide show movie of their LEGO Adventure Creations. This is a one of a kind LEGO Experience!

Throughout this program students will be able to explore their creativity as they learn how to design, customize and create a variety of unique Tie Dye and Heat Press Creations!  Students will be amazed as they witness their Drawings, Photos, Designs, Logos, and Creations being pressed onto t-shirts, pillow cases, socks, tote bags and more! Students will also be introduced to our Create It Design laptops, used to edit and design their heat press creations, photos, and logos. In addition, students will also learn how to properly execute some insanely cool Tie Dye designs on their newly pressed heat press creations! Don’t miss out on all the fun and excitement this program has to offer!
